Basic Studio #10

At our 10th basic class, we made handtied bouquets with silk flowers.
This was the first time to learn about silk flowers. Making handtied bouqets is pretty tough to beginners. Holding flower with enough strenth of fingers and make right shape with weak stems and all different looking flower heads...
So we decided to use silk flowers. It's easier to make shape becaus their stem are made with wire. You can fix the shape easily.
Some people think silk flowers look cheapy and tacky. But these days they are really well-made. I'm also not a big fan of silk flowers, but the silk floewrs we bought were absolutely beautiful and looked so real in color and texture.
They were hydrangeas, anemones, raununculuses and roses.
