Basic Studio #7

Tall arrangements are very popular as a nice gift for any types of occasion. And they can be used as a welcome piece at entrance or centerpieces for large tables.
When you make a tall arrangment, you need to check the length of flower stems. Some specific flowers come in short stems under 30cm, which means they are impossible to use in tall vase. Short flowers are not able to touch the bottom of the vase, so they can't drink water. So you should chose tall flowers.
For beginers, I recommed using ribbons, fabrics or colored vase instead of using liners such as large leaves. If it's first time to make a tall arrangement, it's really hard to keep leaves stay as liner inside a vase. While you put the stems and make right position, stems may mess up the leaves.
And you'd better start with greenery first and then put flowers. When you make an arrangment in water, greenery help flower keep stable. And then use flowers such as lisianthus, spray roses which has more than two heads in one stem. It's easier to use flowers such as roses, tulips and delfinium which has single head in one stem at the last.
We used roses, delfinium, tulips, lisianthus, seeded eucalyptus and lemon leaves.
